I would like to welcome you to my website and to view my work. I create in many mediums and styles but my main inspiration is the natural world around us from a single cell to the sun and everything in between. We are in a wonderful age where we can see and do almost anything, go anywhere, see anyone. Unfortunately within that overwhelming level of choice I think we get lost and lose our natural instincts and the gifts and beauty of mother nature. We need to take a little time, just a moment in our busy schedules, to reconnect with nature and start dissolving stress by doing so.
My work is one of those things which you can sit for a moment and enjoy or touch, being tactile is just as important to me as form. They are meant to be seen not used. For the purpose of - a pause, a moment to stop and breathe. Saying that, I make jewellery which is of course useable as body adornment. If you can find a use for a piece then please send me a photograph of it in-situ as I would love to see your interpretation of my work.
I am drawn to colour but its always the shape that holds my intrigue. Working towards an end product is how most of my pieces come about. My jewellery is a by-product of techniques and materials I use to create sculpture. My work does look like it could be utilised in some way but that is part of the temptation. Each piece is balanced precisely - it is the uncerainty that is paramount to their identity. I hope you enjoy your journey looking through my website and understanding what drives me to create.
